• Salary: Up to £70,000 basic + uncapped OTE

The Opportunity
This is a newly created leadership position, offering the chance to take ownership of the company’s growth strategy across Great Britain.
You’ll work at a senior level to identify new opportunities, strengthen key relationships and lead a high performing sales team to deliver long term, sustainable success.
This role will be reporting into the GB Sales Director, working collaboratively with the leadership team and internal departments, aligning business development, specification and commercial activity to achieve shared goals and measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Leadership: Develop and deliver long-term growth plans across Great Britain, increasing market share and brand visibility.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with National Housebuilders, Tier 1 Contractors, Architects, and Engineers.
• Team Leadership: Inspire and guide a team of six, including Specification and Business Development Managers, ensuring everyone’s skills and networks are used to their full potential.
• Market Development: Identify new business opportunities, raise the company’s profile in target markets, and develop tailored value propositions that support growth.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Product Development, Operations and Commercial teams to deliver collaborative strategic initiatives.
• Performance Management: Set clear KPIs, monitor performance, and provide regular updates to the GB Sales Director on progress, challenges, and new opportunities.
About You
We’re looking for a strategic and commercially minded leader who can combine vision and credibility with hands on drive. You’ll need a strong understanding of the construction market and the ability to link long term business goals with day-to-day activity.
You will have:
• Proven success in a senior strategic sales, commercial, or business development role within building materials.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing, customer-facing sales teams.
• Strong connections with National House Builders, Tier 1 Contractors, Architects and Engineers.
• A solid understanding of the UK construction supply chain and specification processes.
• A strategic, analytical mindset with the ability to deliver results through people.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• CRM experience (Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a bonus).
Desirable:
• Degree or relevant higher education.
• Experience working across both specification and commercial sales routes.
